Curiosity is at the center of what I do.

Curiosity is my biggest love; it keeps me active and helps me explore and interact with the world around me. I often imagine the world in new ways through a constant process of observation and reflection, as I am interested in how things came to be and what they can become. In my free time, you will find me reading about history, investigating new modes of thought in art or design, or planning a trip to a location that has captured my imagination.

How I got started in experience design

I hit a personal goal in my last career, when I independently built a festival and sold 1,000 tickets. I was proud of what I achieved, but I was ready to grow creatively and evolve my passion for developing concepts, services, and experiences.

In order to meet this pursuit, I moved to the UK to study innovation, human-centered design, and emerging technologies to foster my growth. My studies in digital experience design at Hyper Island elevated my ability to design for customer experience and enhanced my soft skills through working on client projects on multinational and collaborative teams.

What I've been working on

While at Hyper Island, I mastered the practice of user research, information synthesis, iterative development, and the art of pitching experience design products, services, and solutions to clients.

Since leaving the UK, I have been studying speculative design, researching the lifestyles of digital nomads, and adjusting to a Covid-19 lifestyle.

Looking at the why

Through my undergraduate studies of art and art history, I learned how to identify patterns and signals into reactions of art movements. Each art movement occurred as a combined reaction to politics, culture, and evolutions of thought, and ultimately was a reflection of culture and life.

This process of observation and synthesis taught me to look for the 'why' from a holistic perspective.

To understand why one thing works in the way that it does, and to figure out what it could become, I seek to understand and identify its relations of influence to uncover its network of creation and interactions.
